AI assistants are good at talking about a script. They are much worse at changing one without breaking it.
Ask a general-purpose model to cut three pages and you get a rewrite of the whole file: sluglines in the wrong place, (CONT’D) gone, a character name that changed halfway down. You paste it back and spend the afternoon fixing the page.
scriptz fixes that. It gives your assistant a screenwriter’s toolkit, so it edits by scene, character and page and your formatting never breaks.
What scriptz does
Edit by scene, not by search
“Cut three pages from scenes 31 to 38. Leave scene 34 alone.” Your assistant sees the outline, the page ranges and every scene by number, so it changes what you asked for and nothing else.
Keep the page a page
Sluglines, (MORE), CONT’D and page breaks are handled for you. We build scriptz to match the page breaks of reference PDFs, and we never promise an exact match with any one app.
Undo anything
Every change is saved as a revision. Ask for a dry run first, compare any two drafts, and restore any version.
You stay the writer
scriptz never writes a word. It has no feature that writes scenes, dialogue or action. Your assistant suggests; you decide what stays.
How it fits
Keep writing in Final Draft, Highland or WriterDuet. Bring a Fountain or FDX file to your AI assistant through scriptz, and take it back out as FDX, Fountain or PDF. Fountain is plain text, so your scripts are never locked in.
Under the hood, scriptz connects to your assistant through the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools. You do not need to know anything about it. Setup takes a few minutes, and we will walk you through it.
Early access
scriptz is free to start. We are testing with Claude first and inviting writers from the waitlist in small batches. The first 250 writers lock in $7 a month for as long as they stay.
Join the waitlist and we will write when scriptz is ready for your pages.
